Their latest track provides much more than an educational factor through the motivative callings to rise up and embrace black success. Throughout the video, the two megastars showcase a plethora of future-focused individuals that set the example of black excellence in their achievements. "Entrepreneur" is also a part of Pharrell's special curated TIME magazine cover package, "The New American Revolution"
I couldn’t be more grateful to curate “The Next American Revolution”—a special issue of @TIME Magazine that envisions a Black Future in an America where all people are actually created equal.https://t.co/nLYgIOU7xo pic.twitter.com/AkL8NioD5f

In Hov's verse, he powerfully states, "Lies told to you through YouTubes and Hulus/Shows with no hues that look like you do" which encompasses the lack of black representation in todays' most popular forms of media. Jay has explored this phenomenon through his music video, "The Story Of O.J" featuring an in-depth, explicit example of racism in the media in 2017.
Back in July, the two have taken their activism to the next level through placing their names on a letter to the Department of Justice, in the effort of urging authorities to reopen the investigation into Danroy "DJ" Henry death, a college student who was murdered by a white cop nearly a decade ago.
Their urgency to empower and uplift the black community does not end here, as the two could most likely release more projects in the near future. Until then, their inspirational themes of reimagining the American Dream for people of color continues.
