Drake Previews Unreleased Music Including Playboi Carti & Fivio Foreign Collabs

Days after releasing “Toosie Slide,” Drake gives us the heads up on his upcoming album reassuring us that he is incredibly stacked with pre-recorded music. Earlier today on Tuesday April 7, Drizzy went on Ovo Mark’s Instagram Live to preview unreleased music including collaborations with Playboi Carti and Fivio Foreign.

The song with Playboi Carti is known as “Pain 1993” and is produced by Pi’erre Bourne. Although there is no release date as of yet, it is expected to arrive on Carti’s upcoming sophomore album, Whole Lotta Red.

2019 was a feature filled year for Carti with no solo projects. Recently, he got arrested on gun and drug charges but is a free man as of two days ago. Let’s hope that Carti’s follow up to his freshman album Die Lit arrives to us in 2020 as we all need it during this quarantine.

Another song that stood out during the live was Drizzy’s verse on his upcoming collaboration with New York rappers Fivio Foreign and Sosa Geek. The track was produced by JB-Made it and was first previewed back in February.

Drake has been experimenting with Brooklyn Drill as we also heard back in December of 2019 with his release of “War.”

Another song that stood out was “Rolling.” The song starts off with “For my n*gga Hush,” which makes many of us reminisce to an old verse from “Miss Me” in Thank Me Later.  ("Neeks got the weed, Hush got a gun")

Drake then went onto to play another track and said, “Wrote this with a Cartier pen do I sound different?"

Following this snippet, the 6 god previewed a singing verse He described it as the “Alternate Life is Good.”

Adding to the mix was an unreleased snippet with Jamaican DJ, singer, and songwriter Popcaan.

“People keep asking me to play ‘Not Around.’ New version coming on the album… proper version.”

Other Drake snippets given to the public included a collaboration with Roddy Ricch that was previewed a few weeks back by Boi-1da during an IG live battle with Hit Boy.

As trash of a year as 2020 has been thus far, at least everyone is stuck at home working on bangers.
