Big Sean Drops Nipsey Hussle Collaboration 'Deep Reverence' from 'Detroit 2'

Big Sean drops the latest collaboration track titled, "Deep Reverence" which features the late Nipsey Hussle. Twitter experienced the announcement after Sean responds to a fan on the feed who asked for it. Take a look at the exchange below:

According to Complex, "Deep Reverence" will be featured on Sean's upcoming fifth studio album titled "Detroit 2". He also revealed via Twitter that the release date is on September 4 and shared its official cover art. Sean's last album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, features cameo collaborations with Jeremih, Eminem, and Migos

Inside the track, Sean drives the discussion of mental heath issues, specifically with anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts. The Detroit-native rapper even references Jay-Z in a verse. Take a look below:

"I’m tryna focus, but baby girl keep holdin' my mind for ransom
And that ain’t how it supposed to be, this man Hov got to a B"

He also alludes to his on-and-off relationship with Jhené Aiko, to having a miscarriage in the new single in this verse below:

"Probably why the sh-t with me get crazy and we lost a baby"

Sean took to clearing the air about the long-rumored tensions with Kendrick Lamar in scripting this verse below:

"After what happened to Nipsey, I reached out to Kendrick
It wasn’t even no real issues there to begin with
Lack of communication and wrong information
From people fueled by their ego, it’s like mixin' flames with diesel"

In February, Sean commented on Joe Budden's series, "Pull Up" and spoke upon the rumored feud, he stated, "Me and Kendrick got a history of songs… When this whole Big Sean, Kendrick beef was going on, it was something I wish I would have spoken up about because there was nothing."

In connection to the latest content, Sean has hinted that fans should be on the lookout for Detroit 2-themed merch which includes hoodies, bundles, tees, hats, totes, and face masks. Currently, the prices start at $20 for the pieces.
